A: I do.

Anyway, it's-a-me, a-mario! Uh, actually, my name is Johnny Larocque.

Q: WHY DO YOU MAKE THIS?

A: TLDR version, it makes me happy. LONG answer, I've wanted to be a cartoonist for as long as I can remember. Long ago like finger painting with my fat lil baby fingees. If I did nothing BUT sit in a room and draw, I would be a very happy man-baby. I find drawing to be an extremely meditative process that fills me with joy and a sense of purpose. It very temporarily combats my depression and keeps me company while I'm feeling especially introverted. In other words, it keeps me alive.

Q: WHAT DO YOU USE TO MAKE THIS?

A: With my older comics, I used to draw pencil on paper, ink with marker, scan into my computer, and then open with photoshop to fix/color/shade/letter. Now I make the comic 100% digitally on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil (the best thing since sliced Brad) using the app Procreate. In Procreate I use the Technical Pen (for blue roughs), Studio Pen (for inks), and Cartooning Monoweight (for lettering).

Q: WHEN DO YOU MAKE THIS?

A: I usually create a comic the night before, between midnight and 5am (instead of sleeping), at the time of writing this I update the comic every Monday-Wednesday-Friday.

Q: WHERE DO YOU MAKE THIS?

A: On a couch, under a blanket, in a drafty old house in Toronto, Canada.
